The Super Eagles have been given a three-day recess ahead of their next qualifier against Tunisia, after their 3-0 victory over the Harambee Stars of Kenya at the Abuja National Stadium on Sunday.
The match against Kenya was the third in 10 days for the team, after their 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland at the Craven Cottage in London on May 29 and their lone-goal triumph over Les Bleus of France at St. Etienne on June 2.
And the Eagles coach, Shuaibu Amodu has asked his players to rest for three days before converging on Lagos for the build up to their next World Cup qualifier against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
According to a statement released by the media officer of the Nigeria Football Federation, the team will leave the country's shores for Malta on Saturday to continue preparation for the crucial tie against Tunisia who are still leading the group with six points after Saturday's 2-0 win over Mozambique in Tunis.
Amodu is expected to name a 23-man squad that will make the trip to Malta from where the Eagles will proceed to Tunis on June 18.
The contingent will depart Nigeria aboard Lufthansa Airline aircraft on Saturday night and fly through Frankfurt, Germany to Malta, where the team will camp at the Corinthian Palace Hotel.
Nigeria must get at least a draw from the Tunisia game scheduled for the November 7 Stadium, Rades, to keep in step with their North African rivals.
