The fugitive offender!

Posted by Kunle on Aug 26 2009

Let her face music at least other sacked mds were made to surfer the same way. These people are criminals, can you imagine the way Okey Nwosu and Dayo Famoroti of Finbank are sacking innocent staff on non performance, meanwhile they were stealing the money (outright stealing). They will never free from this wahala (amin).

This is good. Now that the 2-day ruling has been effected, I believe that she has less to fear from the haphazard nature of our law-enforcement services. I think that Madam EFCC is borderline-incompetent.

THANK GOD SHE HAD THE COMMONSENSE, NOW IS THE TIME TO CALL IN INTERPOL AND INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATORS TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS,AS I SAID BEFORE THE NIGERIAN FACTOR IS LIKELY TO CATCH UP SOONER OR LATER WITH THE EFCC INVESTIGATION.....WE NEED DILIGENT INVESTIGATION,PROSECUTION IN CASE OF WRONGDOING, AND IMPRISONMENT IN CASE OF CONVICTION

I hope this woman has some good answers. She has some explaining to do and we will all be listening. She better not be financing MEND anyway.

Nearly all staff of Oceanic Bank know that majority of big loan granted by the bank are for Mrs Ibru's businesses using fronts. This is criminal and against the Bank and other Financial Institutions Decree now act. I am 100% sure that before Mrs Ibru reported, she or Ibori and co have already agreed a safety with either the EFCC or our very corrupt judiciary. Would somebody there remind me what elder statesman, Alhaji Maitama Sule said about how to move Nigeria forward...

Madam why did u allow Onanefe and his evil cartel manipulate you?? That is the same carbal that has held this country to ransom. The same carbal that installed the present Federal administration. A tragic end to a very beautiful and promising career. Nigerians are watching !! Nigerians are gettin wiser!!! There is nothing hidden under the sun. Nigerians should learn to do the right things!!! Change is inevitable !!

Good for her. Now she can proceed to defend herself within the ambit of the law.

O the drama continues. I believe that the courts have asked them to release the MDs. I am just confused with all the reports. can our journalists get it right please. One minute she has been arrested the next second she is on teh run now she has turned herself in... now the reports that courts have ruled that EFCC release the MDs and that EFCC is unable to get the fiat from Min of Justice. is that true? if it is then how does EFCC proceed? of course that is if it is the true report.

This is more honourable as a christian woman, one thing is certain, she will be punished for all the corrupt practice during her tenor. She should brace up to face the music. I hope EFCC will not be partial in handling her own case. All CEO's should be treated in the same manner.

Soludo was a very intelligent Prof that even when he was neck deep in the Banking saga, no one suspected him. He was pals with all the potentially bad Bank MDs .....i.e...Erastus, Ibru, Tony, Jim, Frank etc. I salute Madam Ibru's courage, giving herself up was very gallant of her. Erastus, pls come out of hiding as a true child of GOD.

Thats the right thing to do. There was no reason to run. Is mismanaging a bank a criminal offence? Is incompetence a criminal or moral offense.

I am impressed although I hope this is not an orchestrated exercise. Since she has James Criminal Onanefe Ibu ori as her Godfather, I wonder what Yaradua will do. A revolution is coming to Nigeria. Be ready for something drastic

Remember - Innocent until proven guilty

Posted by Ibrahim Dikko, Scotland. on Aug 26 2009

I am very proud of your action Mama. Face them, you have nothing to fear if you are sure you acted within the confines of your banking regulations. The main reasons why banks were created is to give out loans within the limit of the Law. I was ashame that they declare you wanted when they actually know where to find you. It is seriously cowardly for them to treat you so shabily. I bow for you.

Posted by BABS on Aug 26 2009

This is good for her at least she can proof her innocence to all. I guess she waited for the court ruling that confirmed EFCC'S right to arrest the applicant (her). Not bad at all, she's obeyed the law court. I wish her luck as she faces the law....remember she's innocent until proven otherwise! How the mighty can fall...the rich also cry...the poor can take solace in being poor at least you don't get invited by the EFCC. I hope she'll be made to sleep like a commoner, so we all can learn how degrading our detention systems are.

sha jst do finish and come and give me billions too....... jst kidding. Gud to knw she turned herself in

Mrs. Ibru's presence at the EFCC's office is not the answer to this huge financial mess because she'll be released and the case will be pending.... for the next 25 years. I want to know what the Nigerian governemnt is doing to prevent this problem. Some years ago, many banks and financial houses collapsed in the country, depositors lost their moneies while the bank chiefs went home with their fat loots. The story is still very fresh in the minds of Nigerians. Why did the country allow this to show up again?

There is nothing good to praise her for. She needs to explain the N13bn loan to her former nanny that is not performing. What business was the nanny going to start that she needed N13bn. NEXT please investigate owners of properties that Oceanic bank is renting for branches.

Nigerians Open your eyes!!! EFCC for the past years you have not given nigerians any justice. Please give nigerians only 5 justice this time. Atleast we can say good of you this time. we all know that money is good and you are placeing this people wanted just for you to get your own share of the money. Please give us Justice this time because we are looking upto you. EFCC change our name to the world for the first time in nigeria.

why do we Nigerians like soap operas so much!! common people is it a financial crime to lend money? i know it might be an ethical problem but not a financial crime. this Govt is playing a smart one on all of us by diverting our attention from the real issues that directly affect us eg power we are supposed to be working towards 10000MW by dec 2009 and a high ranking official of this govt said a couple of weeks ago that it was on course. the questions we should be asking is what is this govt doing about power? this is just a soap opera people!!!

Banking entails ethical coporate standards, if any of the bank executives are found culpable, they should dance to the music and not walk away through the back door of justice. CBN should brace up to strenghten supervision of the banks. Maxjoh66@yahoo.com

Better, mrs ibru you owe nigerians some explanations, it shall be well with you.

Posted by Aromatics on Aug 26 2009

I think what we should really be addressing is fair justice, especially when it refers to the Nigerian case. We have thieving politicians,...why can't the toothless bulldog EFCC go arrest and prosecute them? They know who they are! Let's loose the fact that, NIGERIA continues to be a laughing stock to the rest of the world! Agreed, what the bank managers did is terrible, but let's not be fooled by this claim that EFCC is going after fraudulent people in Nigeria, they know the truth, and they know Yaddy's croonies/pals are above the law. Sheme on the EFCC and the Nigerian government.

Well all said and done, there was no doubt excessiveness on the part of these banks CEOs, but the seven days ultimatum given to debtors to pay is somewhat phoney. How on earth do you want the genuine debtors whose businesses are navigating stormy waters due to recent global economic crisis come with such enormous amount of money???

I dont understand those describing her action as Christian and by implication Christ like. Where were all these supposed virtues prior to this day. Why do always have to drag It was done for Obasanjo -Jesus is now in Aso Rock. We all know all the evil he did inside there. And beyond. And in case anyone has forgotten, ask Gbenga Obasanjo? He. or his lawyer in his divorce case, will tell you which of the commandments that Jesus came to fulfill OBJ kept. A lot of people are really far away from the True teachings of Jesus We all know he prohibited adultery not to talk of incest. Mr T.

Mummy, we know that all this is a script that Sanusi is acting. He is time will soon come to be disgraced and your God will fight for you? Mama i love you.
