Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Amnesty and Disarmament and Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Godwin Abbe said on Friday that the leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), Henry Okah, will remain in prison custody in spite of the amnesty offer to militants by the federal government.

Mr. Okah was arrested last year by the Angolan Government, on charges of gun-running.

He was transferred to Nigeria for the continuation of his trial.

Mr. Abbe said Nigerian president, Umaru Yar'Adua, will brief his Angolan counterpart on the details of his government's amnesty offer before Mr. Okah can benefit from it.

Abbe is talking to Nigeria and int'l oil companies in his speech. Mr. Abbe/Yara Adua will keep Henry Okah (MEND leader) until CHEVRON/Shell agrees to Okah's release. Remember CHEVRON, a major investor in offshore drilling in Angola. Chevron facilitated the arrest and detention of Henry Okah in Angola. If u attempt to put sand in CHEVRON garri, then they will fight u with expert world class ex-military security/intelligenc contractors and consultants. Nigerian or Angola Military doesn't have inteilligence experts across borders, come to talk of long distance activities beyond Gabon/Congo.
