Kaduna State governor, Namadi Sambo, on Saturday appealed to traditional and religious leaders to pray for successful elections in 2011.
He said this while receiving the Emir of Jema’a, Muhammadu Isa, on a traditional Sallah homage at the government lodge in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.
Mr. Sambo, who was represented by his deputy Patrick Yakowa, said prayer was a veritable tool for the sustenance of peace.
In response, the emir pledged his support to the government towards the attainment of social progress.
The emir also visited Kafanchan General Hospital where he sympathised with the patients and prayed for their quick recovery after donating some money for their use.
