A sketch out on Bank PHB

Bank PHB came out of a merger of Habib bank and Platinum bank during the bank consolidation exercise that took place under the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo.

On its corporate website, the bank describes itself as: "A leading financial services institution located in Nigeria. Bank PHB is strongly positioned as Africa's fast emerging centre of innovative financial solutions, to a growing and diverse global customer base. Our strategic intent is to build a diversified franchise, creating superior value for all stakeholders through unrivalled customer service experience, superior shareholder value, a conducive workplace, and commitment to corporate citizenship."

On the board of directors of the bank is Pat Utomi, a director of the Lagos Business School.

The bank has six subsidiaries which include: PHB Asset Management, Insurance PHB, PHB Mortgage Ltd, Platinum Capital Ltd, Bank PHB Gambia and PHB Healthcare Limited.
