The University of Ibadan is representing Nigeria in the final of the Zain Africa Challenge International Championship. Students from the institution will face peers from the Kenyatta University of Kenya, who currently hold the trophy. The more experienced Kenyans are favourites to win the coveted Zain scholars trophy. The trophy has remained in the East African country since the contest started three seasons ago. Zain said in a statement, on Sunday, that it was offering over $1 million in travel grants, prizes and educational grants to participating institutions and students, in line with its commitment to secure Africa’s future by investing in its youth and education. The contest started with 32 universities drawn from West, East and Southern Africa countries where Zain has operations. The ongoing Zain university quiz contest tests undergraduates level of brilliance, intelligence, insight and ability to think quickly and provide correct answers to tough fast paced questions selected from a broad range of topics.
