The governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswan, has said the state would take advantage of River Taraba and the Mambilla Plateau to generate additional power to boost socio-economic activities.
He said so in Brasilia, Brazil, shortly after understudying the Brazilian Electricity generation, transmission and distribution system.
Mr. Suswan, who is a member of the Presidential Steering Committee of the National Integrated Power Programme, said he was impressed by Brazil's success story in the power sector, particularly its use of hydro-electric power.
