Commissioner decries state of road

Print print Email email Share Share

The condition of the Asabase-Abari Road in Patani Local Government Area of Delta is ``pathetic and highly inconviniencing’’, Raymos Guanah, the Delta Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Development, has said.

Mr. Guanah, who hails from Abari community, said it was not possible for a road that was constructed about 58 years ago to remain in the same state.

He said this yesterday in Abari when he visited the community in continuation of the monthly People Democratic Party Ward Meeting in the locality.

The commissioner explained that in spite of the upward review of the contract by the current Delta State government, the contractors had refused to mobilise back to site.

He however promised to liaise with the commissioner for works since the contractor complained of funding as a reason for the project delay.

@PONDERER...I second your brief opinion. He should stop whining and fix that deathly road.
