1. What is your day to day beauty routine?

My routine is pretty basic. I use a scrub every other day—St Ives—and then the Clinique facial bar. On some days, I like to moisturise with Dior’s hydrating cream for the face (I love the way it glides on like silk) and Clarins moisture rich body lotion everywhere else. I try to cleanse and moisturise before bed. Fortunately, I am blessed with good skin and luckily for me, even when I’m under pressure and have no time for facials, my skin is still OK.

2. What kind of makeup do you wear for a special night-out?

I like to wear dark eye makeup, kohl and mascara, a touch of blusher, glitter shadow, and a simple gloss on my lips.

3. What beauty products do you use religiously?

My Clarins body lotion and my Mac makeup remover.

4. What makeup items can you not do without?

My Iman powder, my Mac blusher and Iman brow pencil.

5. What is your basic hair care regimen?

I’m not sure, but it costs a fortune! I’m always at a particular salon where they use good quality products and somehow my hair always comes out looking fabulous regardless of what they do, so I pretty much just leave my hair in their hands. Literarily.

6. How do you style your hair for a special night-out?

I like really long locks. I have had extensions as long as 28 inches, but sometimes I use mid-length hair and use colour for glamour.

7. What are some of your favourite hair products?

For chemical processing and treatments, I love Nouritress from Hair Limited, and I love to use their serum as well. It’s amazingly light and protects my hair from heat. Nouritress also has a nice tingling shampoo and conditioner that does wonders for my scalp.

8. Whose looks do you admire the most?

Halle Berry and Jessica Alba.

9. What beauty tips have you learned over the years of being in the fashion and beauty industry?

Always smile before you put on your blusher.
