This industry is absolutely a thriving one! There would always be a robust supply of Nigerians to be kidnapped, while family members would always be scrambling for the release of their loved ones. This nonsense must stop! We must all rise up against this monster that is growing out of proportion in our nation. Government must be committed to crushing this social-ill at all levels.....

Some people would go to any length for money. This is absolute madness. And the police are yet to realise that they are shirking their responsibilities;they are only trained to collect tolls. Nigerian government,is there any iota of sincereity of purpose? By the way is there any purpose? I pity us in this country.Law abiding Nigerians, i salute your courage.Na all this small small boys who sing about money wey dem no get remain. On a lighter tone, Nkem, na better story line be dis oooooo.

The Movie better be titled Kidnapped Alive (on a much lighter tone).. The is just sickening..even the ones (entertainers) that tend to bring smiles on our faces and relive our tension are the ones suffering the effects of bad leadership and "outrageous" settlements..forgive me but these Eastern guys in charge of this new line of career are DAFT..yeah in capitals..cos this is bad for our tourism business in the East..

Its absolute madness to kidnap such guy , they should have kidnapped someone like Bode George before he was locked up or all those that have made ill gotten wealth . The kidnappers should just be ready to laugh and laugh untill they release osuofia as he would give them the comedy of the year in that dungeon . Guys release the yooung man and think of better deals

The kidnappers are just mere cowards and dregs of society. They are those who lost out in every front. They are those whon can't cope with the shifting time. They are only bringing bad name to the Igbo. They are bastards who think possessing a gun is the way out in daily life's challenges. They can't even wait and think: if everybody rersorts to buying/carrying his/her gun, they, the bastard, brainless kidnappers will just die of hunger. Period.

The Nigeria Police has so far loomed large as a mere decorative creation,in its silence of compromise and lack of Intelligence.Kidnapping has become more than a trend, and the Force ought to have evolved a strategy to tackle it.Afterall, the ransoms are paid in cash or into bank accounts, both of which can provide clues for arrest. All of us are in trouble if no solution is provided fast.

The kidnappers are the young men and women used and dumped by politicians. Let them kidnap only their unfaithful pay masters and leave ordinary Nigerians alone. May God protect Nkem Owoh and bring him back safely to his family.

This kidnapping issue should be a great concern cum lessons to our politicians, who should have used the available politics of the day to better the lives of the people, but are busy amassing wealth to the detriment of the downtroding. And to the kidnappers, these monies realised from this trade will definitely go back to the devil. Any attempt to do good things with the money will be an effort in futility - REPENT. Posted by tmaco on Nov 10 2009

When Peter Edochie was kidnapped, he was able to pay the ransom demanded and even refused to talk about it to the general public, so that his pains, agonies, psyche, and depression could be shared by all. Maybe it would have gone a long way to telling the kidnappers that it was a mistake spreading their ugly tentacle towards the movie industry. But his mute might have given encouragement, and here is the result. My advise is that Nkem Owoh should be pushed by his colleagues to say all he knew both to the police and general public whenever he's freed so that such incident may be curtailed in movie industry. It is matter of time, all this shall be history, at least to non-politicians.

And those governors? When they bring their children home from abroad, capture their children and bleed them dry! These shameless politicians are the ones responsible for your poverty and hardship! They are the ones who should be punished, not men and women who do what they can to keep their own families from drowning in poverty!

We should better stop paying taxes as our policemen are not doing what they are suppose to do; the government is not concerned about us; nothing is working in this country. For how long do we continue like this? We should all go on strike and starve the government of fund and bring the people that feel that they are highly placed to their sences. My pity does not go to Nkem Owoh as I believe that he is simply on training that Pete Edochie has attended, I only pity Nigerians as many may not survive it. drastic problems require drastic solutions. an earlier comment opined that if kidnappers cant get paid ransomes, they will not continue in business. the immediate solution therefore will be: if kidnapped, do not pay any ransome and relax and consider it an opportunity to stop the trend. you may suffer a few days but surely when released they will not come again for you and others. it will die a natural death this way. we could begin to work on a legislation that will punish kidnappers and those who pay ransomes when kidnapped.

You kidnappers, can't you see the president, the governors, the senetors, the house of Reps, the chairman's and the councillors, that kept our country like this and kidnapped them. while are you people so wicked on the innocents, "Ilu Ndi Igbo si na Okuko hapu ihe gburu ya, Otugoro nwa ite olu". leave the innocents and face the wicked once. Please, I beg you in the name of God Don't try to touch Osuofia again, if not I will send the holy ghost fire to burn you people to ashess. Kidnap the head and his agents, they are the people that keep our country like this.
