The Nigeria Police says it will reward anyone who gives useful information in connection with the killing of Bayo Ohu, the late Assistant News Editor with The Guardian Newspapers.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ogbonna Onovo, said this on Tuesday in Abuja at a meeting with his top officials.

"We need information to investigate. We are ready to reward people with any useful information. We are determined to bring those behind the cruel act to justice," Mr. Onovo said.

Mr. Ohu was killed by unidentified gunmen at his Akowonjo residence in Lagos on Sunday.
